This is a new feature we’d like to introduce, where at the beginning of each week, we share a list of the 4 or 5 key things we’ll be keeping our eye on in the week ahead, so you can too.
So, without further ado, this week we’ll be watching:
- President Obama’s 3rd Prime-Time News Conference, on his 100th Day in Office on Wednesday.
- The Senate HELP Committee Hearing on Primary Care Access Reform, Health Centers and the National Health Service Corps on Thursday.
- House and Senate Debate over the Final Budget Resolution – will it include reconciliation instructions, lowering barriers to health reform in the Senate, but perhaps raising other (political) ones? How will overall discretionary spending (which includes Health Centers) fare in the final agreement?
- How does Congress respond to the Swine Flu outbreak, and how much does it push everything else off the week’s agenda?
What will you be keeping an eye on this week? Let us know in the comments!
