Dr. Peter Leibig, President and CEO of Clinica Family Health Services in Lafayette, CO will be presenting at the free “Innovations in Health Care Delivery” conference on December 16 in Washington, DC. This conference, sponsored by the health policy journal Health Affairs, will spotlight five to six panels of health institutions that have brought patient care to a whole new level of innovation and quality. The panels will cover how to:
- Identify patient needs that are not currently being fully met
- Rely on providers in close contact with patients to determine strategies for best meeting those needs
- Implement necessary changes in pilot programs
- Measure and report results—including reductions in expenditures, while improving quality
Dr. Leibig has a lot to offer attendees of the conference—Clinica Family Health Services has made great strides in innovations for behavioral health, electronic health record, facilities, and planned care. He is the recipient of the 2003 Community Healthcare Improvement Award from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, as well as the 2005 Daily Camera Pacesetter for Innovations in Medicine and Science.
Conference keynote speaker will be Richard Gilfillan, acting director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. Once the conference ends, Health Affairs will be publishing some of the highlighted case studies from the conference in their next issue.
Come on out to DC on December 16 and hear about a multitude of great new ideas in health care delivery!
