Across the United States, health centers are recognizing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in different ways.
• Central Care Community Health Center in Houston, TX is offering a Breast Cancer Awareness gift package that is available with each visit. They’ve also turned their Web site pink in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
• The Family Medical Care Community Health Center, a division of CHANGE, Inc. in Weirton, WV, and the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program, sponsored a “Walk for Women” to raise money for breast cancer screenings for local uninsured women.
• Community Health Center, Inc. in Middletown, CT is “going pink” this month by hosting a Go Pink! Fun Fall Fest; proceeds will provide financial assistance to breast cancer patients who need help with daily living costs.
