For diving head first into the digital age, and saving six struggling health centers from ruin, the Institute for Family Health wins a cash prize and scholarship to further their pioneering efforts in repairing America’s broken health care system. Dr. Neil Calman (left) co-founder, president and CEO of the Institute, said, “I am thrilled by the Times’ acknowledgement of the Institute’s management expertise in the service of the underserved. All of us who are committed to doing good must also be committed to doing well: working as efficiently as possible to maximize the benefits we can deliver with limited resources, and to ensure the sustainability of our efforts over time.”
