For the second day in a row a health center witness, NACHC’s own Dan Hawkins, will speak to Congress about health reform, the House draft legislation, and community health center priorities (ie: full participation, payment and growth) moving forward. Dan takes the dais in front of the House Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Health today as a participant in Day 3 of the committee’s Comprehensive Health Reform Draft Discussion.
Today’s hearing follows on the heels of a full E&C committee hearing yesterday, where HHS Secretary Sebelius testified on behalf of the administration. Secretary Sebelius said that health reform is our number one domestic priority and that the President is willing to listen to any reform suggestions that do not increase the deficit.
Remember to watch today’s hearing in streaming video on the Energy and Commerce Committee website – health centers get a voice around noon today (panel 2 of 4).
