Community Health Centers across the nation have a lot to be proud of, and celebrating the one year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is one of them. As we’ve noted in previous posts, a critical provision of the ACA expands the reach of health centers, which is why many of them took the time to mark the one year birthday along with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Sebelius spoke at the NACHC conference last week and many health centers live streamed the event from their sites and held other events that include:
The Arkansas Primary Care Association produced and uploaded a YouTube video showcasing the importance of the ACA.
- The Middletown Journal in Middletown, OH published an article expressing the feelings of locals and the ACA one year later.
- U.S. Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro visited Community Health Center, Inc.in Middletown, CT to celebrate the one year anniversay of the ACA. Please Watch the video of Congresswoman Delauro’s remarks.
- Piedmont Health Services in Carrboro, NC celebrates one year anniversary.
