HHS announced today that the comment period for the proposed rules on the Establishment of Exchanges and Qualifed Health Plans has been extended to OCTOBER 31, 2011.   The previous deadline was September 28, 2011.

As we’ve mentioned here and here, NACHC is preparing comments on these proposed rules and has drafted an issue brief on health center specific issues in the Establishment of Exchanges and Qualified Health Plans.  It is very important for HHS to hear from health centers and PCAs and we encourage you to review the proposed rules and submit your own comments.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information on NACHC’s comments.
