Discover Whole Health

By Yvette Crenshaw

CODAC Behavioral Health Services Inc. and El Rio Community Health Center, both in Tucson, AZ, are joining forces and hosting the Grand Opening of a comprehensive integrated mental health and primary care clinic called Whole Health. According to a recent press release, the Whole Health program is funded through a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

CODAC President W. Mark Clark, MSW, ACSW says:

“National health care reform and mental health parity legislation have set the stage for sustainability of programs like Whole Health, which we believe will prove to be better for the whole health of our members, their families and our communities.”

The purpose of the clinic is to provide patients with a central place to receive basic mental health care as well as primary medical care. Mental health care will be provided by CODAC and primary medical care will be provided by El Rio Community Health Center.
