October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and Community Health Centers across the nation are showing their support by hosting events and educating surrounding communities.
- Waikiki Health Center in Honolulu, HI is offering screenings and also encouraging patients to sign up for the Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure.
- Community Health Center, Inc. in Middletown, CT has been supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness by highlighting AmeriCorps members participating in the Terri Broduer Walk, and having staff at the health center wear pink shirts. Check out photos on their facebook page.
- The Community Health Center Association of Connecticut (CHCACT) staff had an opportunity to talk to staff at the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Connecticut to discuss future partnerships and address findings in a recent community profile report.
