Not much time is passing these days without a newspaper, TV or web story about a health center on the front lines working on the H1N1 Flu situation.
The Alaska Pioneer Press highlighted H1N1 vaccine activity at Sunshine Community Health Center.
Currently, statewide supplies of the H1N1 vaccine indicate that only five priority groups will be vaccinated at this first clinic, including:
- Pregnant women;
- Anyone who lives with or cares for children younger than 6 months old;
- Healthcare and emergency service workers;
- Everyone age 6 months to 24 years old; and
- Adults age 25 to 64 who have chronic health disorders or compromised
- immune systems.
