Thousands of health center leaders have made their way to Washington, D.C., where this afternoon the opening general session of the 2010 NACHC Policy and Issues Forum will feature Ted Kennedy, Jr. — son of the late U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the founding father of Community Health Centers.
(The 35rd annual national conference is, of course, the largest Washington gathering of federally supported Community Health Centers, which serve more than 20 million patients nationwide. The conference brings together thousands of health center leaders, opinion-makers, policy experts, clinicians and consumers to dialogue on access to affordable health care and the outlook for health care reform.
