How NACHC Conference Attendees Used Twitter To Share Their Experience

By Micah Clemens

More and more attendees of NACHC conferences are turning to Twitter and other social media platforms to share their experience and join the conversation. At the Community Health Institute & EXPO, we saw a record number of attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and NACHC staff share their experience at the CHI using the hashtag #chi12.

Here are some great statistics about the conference:

  • 126 different accounts participated during the duration
  • They posted 781 individual Tweets with #chi12
  • Those Tweets had over 1 million impressions. For example, five Tweets by an account with 100 followers garnered 500 impressions.

To encourage more people to participate, NACHC and Benco Dental provided a Twitter board which was placed outside the EXPO, showing a live stream of what was being said. We also had a sweepstakes for using the hashtag, where three lucky winners got $100 Amazon gift cards and one grand prize winner got a $500 credit toward NACHC conferences or trainings.
