Recently there’s been a lot of great coverage of Community Health Centers on radio stations across the country after the election. Many health centers are being asked what the fiscal cliff / sequestration will mean for patients, and how health centers are moving forward to expand their services and widen access to care under the Affordable Care Act.
Public News Service covered the recent fly-in of nearly 100 health center advocates from across the country. These health center leaders walked the halls of the U.S. Capitol to meet with lawmakers and their staff and discuss how the sequestration and potential budget cuts will affect health center patients. For the bigger picture, NACHC’s Senior Vice President for Federal, State and Public Affairs, Dan Hawkins, was was interviewed on CHC Radio.
